This data protection policy provides users with information concerning the type, scope and purpose of data collection and usage by the responsible supplier.
The legal framework for data protection is set down by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG, and in its revised version as from 25 May 2018), the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Telemedia Services Act (TMG).
Definition: Personal data, also referred to as personally identifiable information or sensitive personal information, is defined as all information on the basis of which a person may be clearly identified. In other words, the term refers to data that can be traced back to an individual.
Personal data includes first names and surnames, telephone numbers and email addresses; it also includes information on hobbies, memberships, preferences and internet pages accessed.
The supplier will only collect, use and (possibly) forward this data where the legislation explicitly permits this, or where the user consents to the collection, editing, usage and forwarding of such data.
Personal data is collected when you register on our website to take advantage of personalised services; this will include your name, address, telephone number and email address in the form of contact/communication data.
Registration enables access to services and content exclusive to registered users. If they wish, registered users can amend or delete their registration data at any time. Naturally, we will inform you, on request, as to which personal details have been collected and stored. We will also amend or delete data on request, provided legal retention obligations do not preclude this. Please use the contact details shown in this data protection policy for any enquiries or requests for amendment or deletion of data.
When you register for our newsletter, we only use the data you provide for this purpose, or to inform you of facts relevant to the service or the registration process. We do not pass this data to a third party.
To receive the newsletter, a valid email address is required. The IP address from which you register for the newsletter and the date of the order are also stored. This data allows us to identify misuse where a third party email address is registered for the newsletter. Moreover, to ensure email addresses are not improperly entered in our distribution list by third parties, we operate a ‘double opt-in’ process in accordance with the law. In this process, the request of the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation email and receipt of the confirmation of registration are logged.
At any time, you may withdraw your consent to the storage of data and your email address and its usage for the sending of newsletters. Every newsletter, and the website, contains a cancellation link. You also have the possibility of communicating your revocation request to us using the contact details given in this document.
When you contact us via the online form or by email, we store the information you give us to answer your enquiry and ask any follow-up questions.
Our offer also includes content and services from other suppliers – for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube and diagrams and images from other websites. To enable this data to be retrieved and displayed in the user’s browser, the sharing of an IP address is essential. The suppliers (hereafter referred to as ‘third-party providers’) note the IP addresses of users for this reason.
Although we aim to make exclusive use of third-party providers that only require IP addresses to be able to supply content, we have no control over whether IP addresses are actually stored. In that case the procedure is for statistical purposes, amongst other things. Where it comes to our attention that an IP address has been stored, we will inform our users.
This website makes use of 'cookies', text files placed on your computer by websites you visit. They contain information on the browser, IP address, operating system and internet connection. We do not pass this data to third parties, nor link it to personal data without your consent.
Cookies have two main functions: they make it easier for you to navigate our content and they facilitate correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or launch programs.
Users can also call up our content without cookies: to do this, the relevant settings must be changed in the browser. Please use your browser’s help function to find out how to deactivate cookies. Please note that doing so may adversely affect a number of functions on the website and restrict ease of use.

(1) We are pleased that you are interested in a vacancy at our company or would like to send us your speculative application papers. You can submit an online application.
Your online application will be reviewed by our personnel department as quickly as possible. Your application papers will be forwarded to the relevant department, or to an associated company which has a vacancy or which could be interested in your application. We will only use your application papers for application purposes within our company and its associated enterprises; data is not forwarded.
(2) In the event that there is no suitable vacancy matching your profile, we will delete all data and notify you accordingly. Please note that the assessment process can take time. If, however, your profile is of strong interest even though there is no suitable vacancy at the time, we will contact you again to request your consent to the provision and storage of your application details. If you agree to this in principle, you should indicate this in your cover letter without delay.
In accordance with the principles of data reduction and data economy, we only store personal data for as long as necessary or stipulated by legislation (statutory storage period). Where the information collected no longer serves a purpose or the storage period ends, we will restrict or delete the data.
You have the right to request notification of the personal data we store free of charge, and/or to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. Exceptions to this are mandatory data storage for the purposes of conducting business and the instance in which data is subject to the statutory retention obligation.
Please contact our data security officer for these purposes (contact details are given at the end of the data protection policy).
To allow a data lock at any time, it is necessary to retain data in a lock file for control purposes. You can also demand the deletion of data where there is no statutory archiving obligation; otherwise we will lock the data if you so request.
To ensure our data protection policy always complies with current legal regulations, we reserve the right to make changes to the policy at any time. The same applies where the data protection policy has to be adapted on account of new or revised services, for example. The new data protection policy will then apply to our offer on your next visit.
